I really like Fallin’. It think it might have a lot to do with the fact Jay Park is doing the featuring/chorus/bridge because his voice is just so…. gosh.

Be A Man is good too, though since Smocky Girl and every other great song MBLAQ did, my expectation are maybe a little bit higher. It’s still good though, I would just have like something a little more upbeat.

Not to pleased with A Tempo since I prefer more upbeat music from Gain. This one is more of a ballad.

Thank You My Love is not bad, but maybe just a bit too intense and overly joyful for me. At least the musical dance in the MV fit really well with the song.

I like Bang Bang Crossroad like most of Electroboyz song. Maybe because, most of the time, they do somewhat really similar song. The only thing I have against it is about the MV concept. It kinda makes me uncomfortable. Maybe it’s a cultural thing, or maybe I didn’t quite get the MV. But, if I was the girl in the MV, and 3 boys were starting to somewhat harass/touch-hold-faketofallonme/follow me on the street, I would do much more than just some shy giggles. I would be kinda scared and I would try to get some help from passersby or something. Am I the only one who’s a bit creeped out by this kind of MV concept?

I really like Beat also. I wasn’t sure what to expect from 100% since their debut song was so great, but after that, not so much. But this one is great enough that I’ll be looking forward for their next song. I feel like it’s a bit alike the latest VIXX MV concept though.

Lee Michelle’s Without You is a great and powerful song. I think maybe they overdid it a bit with the plot of the MV, but you cannot deny how great her voice is and how awesome is the song. I hope it get higher on the chart soon since she deserves it.

96. Gain – Black & White
97. Crucial Star – Super Crucial Rap 2 (feat. DJ Wegun)

—

In my opinion, 1004 (Angel) is by far the best song of B.A.P ever. I really really really like it, a LOT. It’s just perfect in so many way. The MV is great too, even though it’s maybe a bit similar to some stuff already made in the past. It sure is a different from the more hip-hop sound of B.A.P, but they also did more pop and soft thing here and there, but not really main title stuff. If you haven’t watch/listen to it yet, you should definitely do.

I’ve bein surprised but F.I.L.A. I’m more or less not really into Geeks most of the time, but this song is quite fun and I find myself bobbing my head to it. This too is a bit different from what their sound usually is though. It’s a mix between some rap and some funky pop. Somehow made me think a bit about Woowei Woowei from Handsome People.

Then there’s this OST song, Go to Nasung. I’ve put the Rose Motel duet version since it’s the official one that’s been rolling around YouTube. Nonetheless, it’s still not that great. It’s something like a bebop rock track, and even though it could be fun somehow, I’m just not getting it.

Rain’s new song is a big letdown for me. It’s really too intense of a ballad for my taste and the MV isn’t doing it for me either. I feel like I could maybe like it a bit more if there was more of a story to the MV. But they did this kind of lame “making of” concept… So yeah, I prefer his first two main title over this.

Roh Jihoon is a great surprise. I like the song, maybe not as much as other from this great start of a month, but it’s really enjoyable. I don’t know why I like this one and not Rain’s song though since I feel like they’re not that far from each other. I’m not really into the MV though since it’s he usually “boy loving girl, boy chasing girl, girl not being there or escaping” theme. I feel like it’s a great second try for Roh JiHoon, but I hope he’ll do something a bit different for his next move since I think he has talent and he “deserve” more recognition.

It’s been a while since we last heard from GLAM. I like them a lot actually, but I wasn’t sure what to expect from this song. It’s alright, nothing more, nothing less. I’m a bit disappointed since I like GLAM because they have this 2NE1’s little sister thing going on for them. This song is a bit to mild for them, in my mind. Still, it’s not a bad song.

Pro C’s song, Love Hurts, is a great song. I really enjoy it and I listen to it often. I feel like Ailee’s part is what makes this song so great though. The rap is great too, but it’s really the strong voice of Ailee that pull this song together for me.

Winter of Haeundae is really a great song. It doesn’t seem like it at first, I know. But I’ve been waking up with this song stuck in my head a few times now and it really grew on me a lot. I feel like it’s also has a lot to do with the featuring since Lim Kim does a really great job with her part. I feel like the rap part is fine, but it’s not as tight or as great as Pro C for example. But I feel like this song is more balanced than Love Hurts so that Lim Kim doesn’t really still the spotlight entirely. The MV is a bit blend though.

Q&A is not really good. It doesn’t stand out or anything and you would expect more from Gain. I don’t really understand the melody either, like where the verse ends and where the chorus starts. And this makes it a bit boring.

I kinda like Scent of a Woman, bit that’s mainly because I watch and enjoy Emergency Couple. On it’s on, I don’t know if it’s that great or not. That said, I definitely recommend the drama, it’s a lot of fun and the actors are just really really great.

I have trouble with Game Over. There’s time where I really like it, other where I think it sounds cheap. So I don’t know what to think about it yet. I really like the chorus, but I really hate the little “do-do-dododo-dooo-dooo” in the background here and there. Maybe it’s that I hate the start of the song, but then it’s alright and I kinda enjoy it. And, maybe the fact that the MV seems low-budget a bit doesn’t help.

I expected great things from Taxi. And I stand disappointed. A lot. I really like Shinhwa, a lot. But this song is just not great enough to match up to what Shinhwa usually put out there. This song is lacking something that could make it great. It’s just really dull… I wanted to like it, but I really can’t. Even the MV is so-so. It’s a shame though, I really want Shinhwa and every of their member to do good.

Always Thinking About You is a ballad. It’s alright I guess. I’m just not really into it at all. And the high notes…. no, really not into it. It’s too sugary, like sickly sweet. And the MV is also like that.

It’s hard to believe that Black & White is lower ranked than Q&A. It’s MUCH MORE fun! It’s not the greatest song there is but it’s good enough that I don’t get why it’s not more loved. It sounds a bit like Manyo Maash, from Puer Kim. Well, it’s groovy.

Finally, Crucial Star. You might know by now that I don’t like them that much. This song is a bit weird : it starts of as a ballad, and then it becomes an intense rap, with some “b***h” here and there. So yeah… not really liking it, not at all my style.

Jeon Gun Hwa is a big revelation to me, though I would say Barambaram is more of a spring or a summer song.

Even though Mama MV is a bit boring and not that nicely done, I really like the voice of Barbara and the intensity of the song. I would have let the cheesy sax out though. That was a bit too much. But if you tried not to hear it, you’ll be able to enjoy the song.

Standing Alone is a pretty good song and I was impressed by the overall quality of it. I’ve been liking it more and more.

Yozoh, I just love. This song is sooo good, it hurts. I really like how they put it over “Laurence, Anyways” scenes, it fits the movie really well (even though I haven’t seen it yet). I’ve been listening to it a LOT lately and I never get tired of it. It blew my mind.

The last song, Brilliant Is, I put last because it last for a whole 15 minutes. I stumble upon it while I was listening to new Kpop and Kindie song. It was the ad that started before the MV I was supposed to watch. I was doing something else while listening to a list of new song, and at one point I was like, “I feel like this wasn’t on my list”. I went to my computer and say it was a 15 min ad, that look a lot like a MV to me. I was surprise that it was in Korean, with actual korean artists. So I check the entire thing and search for it a bit. I understand it has to do with Hyundai, but I don’t get exactly if it’s about the car or a charity project of some sort. Anyway, even though the song is long, you don’t see the time passing by. It’s pretty good! It features, among others, Gil, Jung In, Swings, HaHa, Skull, Zizo, Zico, Double K, Soul Dive, Mad Clown, Geeks, MiYoung, Heo GyeongHwan, Alice and Kim JiMin.

94. Crucial Star – A Winter Love Song
95. Koyote – Hug Me

—

A smaller one this time around, maybe because it’s almost Christmas. And in a way, it’s not the best time to be releasing anything other than a Christmas album since everyone is so busy.

First off is my favorite : Zion.T! Miss Kim is a song I wasn’t sure I was going to like at all after listening to it for the first time. But then, somehow, when I’ve listened to it a second time, I fell in love with it so much that I’m almost only listening to this over and over again since then. Love the part when it’s super intense with the “Biga naeriooooo” at the end. The MV is quite good too, with the film noir ambiance and the tap dance.

Then, there’s All I Want For Christmas Is You… Gosh, soooo disappointing. I was kinda having hope with this since it’s Park Bom and Lee Hi, and the preview for the MV looked fun. The MV is, in fact, fun to watch, but the song is sooo bad, it hurts. The thing is, with classics, you can either try your best to do the same or change it a lot. This time around, they went… I don’t know where they went with this and maybe that’s why it’s so bad.

Perfect Christmas is not bad. It’s actually a good Christmas song, it’s fun and lively. I’m not that much into the MV since it’s mainly a studio shoot with all those faces close-up. I wouldn’t have put the rap part though. But really, it deserves way more attention.

I really like Miss $. They’re not as known as other, but they always make really good song and they have great vocal abilities. This time though, I’m not as much into Just Let Me Live. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Skull sings quite a lot in this one, or maybe because the rap part takes such a big part in the song (even though the girls that does the rap are great). It’s still quite good though, but I prefer their last two song over this one.

Mistletoe is interesting to say the least. It has a really different vibe to it than what I’m used to with Kpop, and even with Khip-hop. It has this Peanuts Christmas sound to it. It’s not all good though since there’s part here and there I’m not that much into, but overall, I would say this one is also of the good Christmas song of this year.

As I said before, I like Xia, but just not when he’s into ballad mode. December is a ballad. So that’s that.

Start is a OST like other OST. From Reply 1994 on top of that…

The Nuts always do song I’m not sure about. I either end up liking it a lot or really not at all. This one, I still don’t know. I think I like the verse with the little childish sound, I’m not sure about the chorus, nor the bridge. So I’ll have to listen to it a bit more, but since the chorus takes more “space” than the verse… I might not like it in the end.

Teardrop is alright I guess. I just feel like it’s a bit bleh, like there’s nothing really special about it.

SuperJunior’s duo, Still You, with Donghae and Eunhyuk, is such a let down for me. I was expecting something more… I feel like SuperJunior has been doing almost nothing for a while now and I thought that they would try harder to make something special with this to give us a bigger bone to chew on until we can have a comeback one day (if ever). It’s kind of a light-hearted up-beat ballad. Even the MV is… really not good enough.

I’m always kinda confused with Boram (maybe because there’s more than just one, I don’t know). This song is a ballad and it’s nothing special. Not doing it for me.

A Winter Love Song… is a bit weird. I know I don’t like it, but I cannot really say why. Maybe because the song is confusing. It starts like a cheesy song, then it becomes a rap, then a ballad. The MV is mainly a studio shoot.

I have mix feeling about Koyote. And OMG this song is not helping me. It’s a Christmas song, but really too intense, too up-beat, just too much. I really don’t like it. It’s like Christmas and techno-dance music made a love baby. Not good.

First of all, I won’t bother with Mariah Carey. Everyone knows this song anyway.

T-ARA’s new song just blew my mind. I really really like it and I feel like I’ve got my old T-ARA back. This song is exactly what I was expecting for their comeback. I’m really really pleased with it. It has the usual disco or 70’s vibe to it and I like the dance too. I even like the ballad that came out alongside of this great song. So yeah, they made it all better now.

Frozen is a bit boring. It’s a ballad just like what we’re used to. Yes, Shin Bora’s voice is pretty, but it feels kinda disconnected from the story/emotion.

I really like 9Muses. Their song always help me work out or get a higher pace while running. I like Glue. It’s not their best, but it’s everything you would expect from them and it’s catchy enough that you’ll want to listen to it again. The MV is a bit too simple though.

Younha’s new song is just soo good. I don’t really know why they put the rap part though. I feel like it was already good enough as is. But it’s not that bothersome anyway, the song is still good. The MV is recording of a slightly different version than the one on the album. And it actually doesn’t feature the rap.

I didn’t know Lee Min Ho knew how to sing. Though the song is a ballad for a OST. So… well, I’m not really into it at all.

Again and Again, even though it features Park Ji Yoon, whom I love, is not that special. It’s a ballad about love lost, the same as so many other.

Because It’s Christmas is one of the many get-together Christmas song made by entertainment companies. This one is from Jellyfish Entertainment. It’s not the best Christmas song of this year, and the MV is basically a photo shoot, though you might like it if you’re a fangirl of VIXX (they appear quite a lot throughout the MV).

Blind, from Urban Zakapa, is quite interesting. I’m not sure if I like it a lot or if I don’t really care for it. I’ll need to listen to it a bit more. But I can say it’s one of their good song.

2BiC’s Lonely Christmas is a good song. It’s kind of a ballad, but more on the happy side. And it’s really pretty and beautifully sung. The MV is okay I guess. It has a concept, but it’s not that great.

I’m not quite sure how I feel about Let’s Talk About You. I kinda find it odd a bit. I could be good, but something is bothering me, though I cannot quite put my finger on it.

I don’t like Like A Movie. It’s such a slow ballad and I feel like the male singer is trying to hard to feel the song but I cannot believe him.

Christmas Song is another get-together song, but with artists from United Cube this time. It’s actually quite good even though the MV is also made like a photo shoot and you don’t really believe their having as much fun as they are showing. But I’ve been listening to it a lot lately and I think it’s one of the few good Christmas song made in Korea.

Christmas Request, from Verbal Jint, is hum… alright I guess. I don’t really see how hip-hop comes together well with a Christmas vibe. I can see rock with Christmas easily, but I don’t know. And the featuring gives also a kinda weird twist to the song. It’s like it’s not exactly a whole in itself.

Anesthesia is a ballad and a OST. So yeah, I think you can guess how I feel about it.

Jevice is almost brand new. This song is quite good actually. You need to wait a bit for it to really start. The MV is not great though and I feel the girls are kinda uncomfortable with all the pose they need to do. But, still the song is good and I really like the voice of the one with the long hair.

Man and Woman 2013 is pretty. It’s a ballad, but I feel like the voice of Kim Myung Ju gives something more to it than what I’m used to for ballads. That said, it’s not that special either. So it’s not like I’ll listen to it more than what I already have. I’ll try to keep track of Myung Ju though.

IU’s song is an old song that was released a few years back (or just one, I’m not sure) for Christmas. It’s okay, maybe a bit too hyped for me (the background music mostly).

Do is different from what Urban Zakapa usually release. I actually like it. It would have been even better if they changed a bit the background music instrument. I’m not that much into the trumpet and the synth sound during the chorus (oh, and there’s some tacky sax sound at one point). That said, I would really like it if Urban Zakapa could do more song like this.

First Snow is nothing special, really.

Tell Me is another unusual song for Urban Zakapa. It has a more R&B vibe to it. It’s quite nice.

I didn’t even realize the first song was featuring YB. I really loved Mystery, which deserved way more attention than it got. And it’s quite good actually. It’s not the greatest song there is, but it’s good and I’ll try listening to it a few more time to see if it entices my mind somehow. Lena Park has a really great voice too.

2BiC is always somewhat good, just because both singer have such great vocal. This song is cute and it’s kinda good also (in the way it’s not full of long complaining acrobatics vocals stuff in a deeply sad song and all). But I feel like it lacks something somehow. It’s good and fun, but, and that’s the case with 2BiC for me most of the time, it’s never enough for the song to catch me entirely.

Trickling is a surprise. I wasn’t expecting much since there’s no MV and I don’t know this band. But it’s quite good and I’ll go and search more about Clover, the album and their previous work. It’s hip-hop/R&B a bit, but soft, with parts where it much more singing that just rapping. The music is good, not too upbeat, not too weird or typical hip-hop-ish (even though it’s not a bad time sometimes). It’s worth checking out.

Madly… Gosh, I think I have a big problem with FTISLAND lately. Or was it always. I don’t really know. I think the only song I really like about them was I Wish. Except from that, I feel like they just did really sad-ish or whiny song (and I kinda hate that). The only thing that kinda save it (a bit), is Lee Hongki’s voice. But really, please, next time, I really want a more upbeat song.

Can’t Have You is from Reply 1994. Most of Reply (any year) OST bored me to hell. This one is quite boring too, really OST like… So if you don’t watch the show, don’t bother. Or maybe just if you feel like wallowing and sobbing over yourself or something like that (bit even then, I feel like it’s not powerful enough).

Let’s talk about San E : I don’t like his music. So I have a hard time talking about the few tracks that are here. To My Ex-Girlfriend doesn’t even deserve the position it’s at right now. It’s terribly boring and too typical for standing out from, well, anything. Wish You To Be Unhappier, even though I like the title of the song, is even more boring than the previous one. And it’s vulgar when, with this title, I would have expected (and maybe even enjoy) witty lyrics and upbeat funny stuff over stupid vulgarity and complaints. My Girlfriend’s Mama is a bit less boring since it’s more upbeat, more fun, more what the previous one should have been. It’s almost good enough for me to ponder my impression about San E. But it’s still quite hard with how crappy was Wish You To Be Unhappier. And at one point, I still get bored.

Hurtful is just bleh. I have no other word. It’s sound like those reunion song for a cause, but with the great song to make all the voice come together (and it’s not that there’s many singer in this one, it’s the back chorus that makes it sounds like that). The sound feels outdated or cheap. I really don’t like it. I don’t hate it, but it makes me feel weird and I would prefer not having to listen to it.

Rose Motel’s song is fine. It’s a smooth song, but it’s also nothing special. It’s just a good song to listen to while doing something else maybe. Like in the afternoon. But the last part really screw the first feeling of it, so it’s not that nice.

Wax is one of the “ballad goddess” of Korea. You can understand, as I do, even though I don’t like ballad. This song is both a ballad and from a OST. I don’t like it. It has everything a OST ballad is supposed to have… That said, I’m really interested in the drama it was done for, Empress Ki.

I’ll Be There is about the same as Wax’ song, but it’s maybe a tad more on the modern side.

SG Wannabes are really not doing for me. The Best of Me is a really classic vocal ballad. Not my style.

Don’t Look Back is a bit different for a OST song, but it’s still not all that great. I guess you need to watch the drama so you can related to the song. Even though I feel like it’s a ballad, it has a little rock twist to it.

Missing You, by 100% V (a sub-unit I guess), is a ballad. It’s fine, but again, I feel like it has nothing special or nothing that stands out.

G.O solo is good. It’s not the best song there is, but it’s fine and you can listen to it like the song from Rose Motel. It has a more “late night” vibe to it, like taking a bath or drinking some wine while finishing diner or something. It has this little “snap” sound following 2 or 3 hit-hat sound, like a sexy groovy song, you know?

Electroboyz’ Busted is good. In fact, about all the Electroboyz’ song I’ve listen to since their collad with Bigstar for the K-Food Day song are great. There’s always something catchy enough but not too intense for me to get “attached” too somehow.

My Love was intended for a Superstar K show. It kinda sounds like it too since you feel like it was made to perform, with some move and intense expression while you sing it… I’m not really into it since I feel like it’s a song for this purpose, but that doesn’t move me and, and it usual does not. But if you’re into performance like this or, like, American Idol stuff, you should check it out. Maybe browse around and find the performance itself on youtube, it might be a bit better that way (or maybe worse, since I’ve seen so many performance that were so-so in those kinda show in Korea).

That’s all folks!

As One song is not a new one, they’ve done it before. It’s just like an update version or something. Still, it’s pretty. As One always does pretty stuff anyway. But I’m not THAT much into it. It’s just alright.

Feel So Good is also nothing special, but it’s still alright.

When I first started to listen to Healing, I was super excited because of the gayageum. But then I recognize the girl singing as the one from another MV I hated. Then I realize that, as the previous one, this MV and song weren’t really good. It’s always a big blur of random stuff. I’m having a hard time with that girl I guess.

I think I like Ulala Session, most of the time. But this new song is just plain boring.

Soulstar actually draw an eye with 3 tears under it. So… well, as you might guess, it’s a ballad. I would say it’s not as bad as most of K-ballad I usually rant about, but it’s still nothing outstanding.

I think To Heaven is a cover. V.O.S does a great job, being live and all. But yeah, it’s OST like, ballad and all that crazy stuff so, well, no.

Now, about Gone, maybe I don’t have a heart, I don’t know. But it tries too hard somehow. That said, I really really love the young actress playing the blind girl, she’s just awesome. She also played in The Moon Embracing The Sun and was great in that too. Jin has a great voice, I guess. The song is alright, maybe. I don’t know, it just doesn’t touch me, at all. I find it too easy. I’m having a hard time getting into the “feeling zone” because I see how they want me to go there as if they had big shiny signs everywhere, pointing at the big reservoir of tears inside of me, it really bothers me a lot.

Kim Bum Soo = ballad = boring as hell. I think I can now say that there’s some ballad I like, and most of them I hate. And it’s mainly because those last one, I can imagine hearing them in cheap asian restaurant along side classical cover of old pop song.

I’m not watching The Heir (and don’t intend too). Story did nothing for me.

Fiestar is a weird group. I usually either really really like, or really really hate their song. That said this one I still don’t know exactly how I feel about it. I like the verse, but the chorus is a bit too much for me. And then, with the MV, it’s even harder because their MV are usually too much green screen and animated cheap stuff everywhere… So, though a MV is supposed to help/support the song, it kinda does not with them.

I use to like Ledapple, but lately, their song are so blehhhh. This one is no different. The girl they chose for the MV is weird-looking and the song is too softy-ballad for my taste.

How Do You Dool has another song? Dance King is interesting, but I would have like to see the perf. It’s energetic, more like what Yoo Jae Suk usually does. And there’s a few joke here and there, even though I don’t understand that much.

VIXX Only You is great even though it’s not quite the same as we’re used to with them. I really like the voice in the background, giving a different twist to the beat. The MV is mostly about them prancing around Sweden. But it’s great, I really like it.

Yoon Jong Shin really long name song is could have been really great. The instrumental is strong, really really strong. But then, the singing… It’s kinda lacking something. You can check it out to see by yourself, but yeah, you’ll see what I mean.

Yet again a long one. I might change things up a bit for a few next playlist, maybe do just one month by playlist, I don’t know, not quite sure yet.

Again, maybe I’m becoming more generous over time. There is a few song I already do not listen to anymore.

But there is also a lot of underrated songs that are here, in this playlist, and that deserve way more views and love.

About EXO’s Growl, I had a hard time with this one. I hated, but like HATED Wolf. And the thing with EXO is somewhat the same with Justin Bieber : I hate their fans. That said, EXO are not idiotic, so that’s a plus on Justin Bieber. The craziness of the fans clouds my jugement on their music. But Growl is good. It took me a while to understand it, also cuz the video is mainly them dancing around. But the video is also good since it was shot in only one take, so it shows they have talent and stuff.

Now, for Do You Love Me? from 2NE1, I’m sorry, but I have nothing good to say about the MV. Everyone is like “their just themselves, it’s fun and they are more relax, not playing a role” and all that crap, but I see laziness. They didn’t invented “party video”, nor slice bread. If I wanted MV like they do in USA, I wouldn’t bother with Kpop. Anyway, at least, after a few tries, I finally understood the song was good. It took a while because the video distracted me too damn much.

For Luv Is, I also had to listen to it a few time before it got to me. The thing is, I think, I got something against the sentence “Love is you”. It felt cheap and a bit too cheesy for me. Baechigi is flawless though so they basically were the reason why I tried this one a few more time. Now I like it, even a lot, and the chorus is often stuck in my head.

Gummy sing OST songs, nothing new under the sun. It might be alright I guess, but yeah… you know.
