With You’re The Best, I get the Mamamoo style I love back. I’m really happy. It has this light retro disco vibe, with a great mix of beautiful vocal and raspy sassy parts. Taller Than You was not balanced enough for me, it was only sassy and hip-hop-ish. And even though I like that sometimes, it lacked something, a hook maybe. You’re The Best makes me wanna get up and dance, or at least smile ear to ear when it comes up on my Ipod.
Ladies’ Code is back, and I’m still not 100% sure about the new song. I really like the chorus, but I’m not really into the verse. It’s kinda too slow-paced for me.

Cook for Love is cute, though I don’t find it outstanding in any way.
I kinda like Like Romance Comics. It’s really laid back though, but it’s just nice to listen to while reading manhwa and drinking tea.
I’m somewhat of a Raindow fan, but I feel like Whoo is a let down. It lacks personality or something. Anybody else could have sung this and it would have made no difference. It’s kinda generic.

Took me some time to get into I’m Jelly Baby. But the bridge and the chorus I quite like. It’s a really usually candy pop song though.
Pick Me is not a bad song. I like it, but I already grew tired of it to be honest. I’m watching Produce 101 since it started and the song is overused in the show so I had enough of it already.

So obviously, since there’s a time difference, I sometimes get song “a day before” they are released. That’s why I’ve put Sentimental and Hate in last month K-Blend playlist. But I don’t think it’s a really big deal and I’ve been doing that since the start. I might try to be more careful about it though from now on, since I like to respect the release date as it was intended, but I won’t split hair in half over this.
I know most people like WINNER for their more hip-hop, upbeat songs or their ballads. But honestly, all the song that came out with the new album are a bore for me, except Sentimental. It’s weird though because it sounds a little like mix between a laid back rock thingy and a aegyo boy band song. I’m okay with the first one, rarely with the second one. But it’s just really nicely done and enjoyable. The MV is even fun.
Hate has a really beautiful MV. The progressive feel of it is alright, but I would have preferred if they just started just a little more fast-paced so that it worked with the rest of the song more. That said, still a really solid song and I like it a lot.
MS. BURGUNDY has a great beat and the chorus is heavenly. I’m sure it won’t get enough attention, though it should, because it’s a really great hip-hop track, totally unexpected.
Not sure if that’s the one (though I’m pretty sure), but I’m Young is the MV that was shot in Montreal. Also, I really don’t understand where they pick their French actresses (in the last few years in Kpop land), but they sound like they are speaking in cans or that they forgot how to speak properly. And I think I recognized my ex’s brother in the party scene around the middle, so yeah, definitely Montreal. I don’t have much to say about the song though, because it’s really not great.

Kids Nowadays is perfect when you feel like hating on everyone. The chorus is just perfect for that.
Hello really grew on me a lot. I like how nice it is and how harmonious both voices are together.
There’s a little more songs than on previous playlist so I had a harder time squeezing all the best stuff at the start because I still wanted the progression to make sense. I also feel like January is a little less upbeat, like there’s a lot of songs that are not really all cheerful and fast-paced. But that’s ok, it’s cold outside and dark, so I like smooth stuff.
Wasn’t so sure at first with Dalshabet. The retro feel to their stuff always throws me back at first. But I really like it now.
I highly suggest Monologue and No Love. Not really usual song, but really good and unique.
Also, if you must, look at the MV for Taxi, but it’s a really bad MV. The song is fun, though I had a hard time placing it in the playlist so that it wasn’t outshined by the stuff around it. It’s not as strong as other stuff, but still enjoyable.

Cider is a good hip-hop track with a great chorus that will make you wanna dance to it. I don’t need more than that. Sadly, there’s nothing more to say about this newbies list.
